Citizens for Informed Land Use (CILU), Holmdel, will present a lecture by Donald Albrecht, “Eero Saarinen: Shaping the Future,” Oct. 30 at 6:30 p.m. at Holmdel/Senior Community Center, Crawfords Corner Road.
Albrecht is an independent curator and curator of architecture and design at the Museum of the City of New York. He curated the first ever retrospective exhibit of works by Saarinen, which premieres in the United States this fall. He will provide a look at the works of Saarinen, and the importance of the Bell Labs building, and Lucent Tract’s landscape architecture. For more information, call Jim at (732) 946- 9565.
The (CILU) will hold its regular meeting Nov. 7 at 7:30 p.m. at the Holmdel Senior/ Community Center, Crawfords Corner Road. Ken Thoman of the Acquisition and Design Department of the Monmouth County Park System will discuss invasive plants. He will explain why invasive plants are a problem, and give advice on effective removal methods. The public is welcome to attend, and refreshments will be served.
