Henry Fanizzi

Mr. Fanizzi, 77, of Freehold, died Oct. 23, 2007, at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. He was born in Connecticut and had lived in Brooklyn, N.Y., before moving to Freehold in 1994. Prior to retiring in 1992, Mr. Fanizzi was a stationary engineer for Lincoln Savings Bank, Brooklyn, for more than 25 years. He then became a driver for the David Michael Motor Group. Mr. Fanizzi was a parishioner of St. Rose of Lima Roman Catholic Church, Freehold. He was predeceased by seven brothers. Surviving are his wife of almost 50 years, Mary Fanizzi; two sons, Peter Fanizzi of Union Beach and Stephen Fanizzi of Brooklyn; two daughters and sons-in-law, Marylynn and Nicholas Verdi of Freehold, and Kathy and Dean Nikitas of Old Bridge; a daughter-in-law, Gamble Fanizzi of Howell; and six grandchildren. A funeral Mass was celebrated at St. Rose of Lima Church, followed by interment at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery, Freehold Township. The Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, Freehold Township, was in charge of arrangements.
