Mr. Schaller, 61, of Union Beach, died Jan. 18, 2008, at Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel. Born in Long Branch, he was a lifelong resident of Union Beach. He was a brakeman at Conrail, Elizabeth, for 30 years.He servedwith theU.S.Army, stationed in Korea during the VietnamWar.He enjoyed fishing, hunting and boating.He was predeceased by a brother, Mybrit R. Schaller. He is survived by his wife, Jean E. Hunter Schaller; a son, Geoffrey V. Schaller Jr. of the Leonardo section ofMiddletown; a daughter and son-in-law, Simone and Ken Dannecker ofUnion Beach; five brothers, Lance Schaller of Florida,Wade Schaller and Kurt Schaller, both of Keansburg, Blair Schaller of Leonardo, and Dorian Schaller of Manalapan; a sister, Andrea Zarzycki of Keansburg; and six grandchildren. Arrangements were by Day Funeral Home, Keyport.
