Helpful programs now listed online

Sen. Christopher “Kip” Bateman, R-Branchburg

Many New Jersey residents who struggle with day-to-day expenses are not aware that New Jersey offers several programs that can help.
New Jersey now has a Web site that both outlines available programs and helps residents figure out what services they may be eligible for through a simple questionnaire.
This free and anonymous service can help residents discover their potential eligibility for programs such as food stamps, utility assistance, health insurance and more.
The Web site also offers a comprehensive list of local hotlines, online application forms, and links to both social services and the New Jersey Housing Resource Center.
It can be accessed at www.njhelps.org. If you have any questions about this service, please contact my district office at 526-3600.
