Mrs. Sawyer, 89, of Lakewood, died Feb. 20 at home. Born in Port Chester, N.Y., she resided in Lakewood for 60 years. She was a bookkeeper for Lane Drugs in Lakewood. Mrs. Sawyer was predeceased by her husband, Alex, in 2004. Surviving are her two sons and daughters-in-law, Lawrence and Natalie of Denville, and Robert and Darlene of Manalapan; her daughter and son-in-law, Debby and Stephen of Augusta, Ga.; and five grandchildren. A funeral service was held at Freeman Manalapan-Marlboro Funeral Home,Manalapan, followed by interment at Floral Park Cemetery in South Brunswick.
