George A. Buyofsky, 56, of Monroe, died Saturday March 22, at his home.
Born in South Amboy, he has resided in Sayreville before moving to Monroe in 1979. Mr. Buyofsky was a graduate of Middlesex County College and Newark College of Engineering, where he received his bachelor’s degree in engineering and land surveying. He was employed by CME Engineering in Howell, where he worked for the past 25 years as an engineer and land surveyor. He was a member of the New Jersey Society of Professional Land Surveyors where he was past president.
Mr. Buyofsky was a great lover of the outdoors, enjoying hunting, fishing, gardening and was an avid bird lover. He was an Eagle Scout, a member of the National Rifle Association and a communicant of Our Lady of Mercy R.C. Church in Englishtown.
His parents, Paul C. and Loretta Gabel Buyofsky, and his brother Paul Buyofsky Jr., are deceased. He is survived by his wife of 33 years, the former Karen Ferenci; his daughters, Lauren, of New Hampshire, and Lisa, of Monroe; his brother, Robert Buyofsky of Pennsylvania; and his sister, Jean Rittman of Lakehurst.
Funeral services were Wednesday, March 26, from the Carmen F. Spezzi Funeral Home, 15 Cherry Lane, Parlin, N.J., followed by a mass at Our Lady of Mercy R.C. Church in Englishtown with burial at Sacred Heart Cemetery, Parlin.
