Red Bank Regional High School (RBR) commercial art students in the Visual and Performing Arts Academy (VPA) are exhibiting their work at the Guild of Creative Art in Shrewsbury. Mediums include pencil and charcoal, photography, oils and pastels.
The show will be on display through April 30 at the guild, located at 620 Broad St. in Shrewsbury. Hours are noon to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday.
The program allows the students, who enter as freshmen and are serious about art, to work on their craft as a major throughout their high school years.
RBR’s commercial art teacher, Claudia O’Connor, states, “Our graduating seniors take this show as an opportunity to show friends, family and the community members the progress they have made within this program, and to give back to the community which has so generously given to them. Each artist has their own unique style, creating a distinctive and eclectic show.”
