Dana Corn, daughter of Rita and Steve Corn of Freehold, was recently recognized for her entry in a poetry contest for young poets sponsored by Creative Communication based in Utah. The fifth-grade student at the West Freehold School, Freehold, was selected from thousands of entries as one of the top 10 poets in her grade division. Dana’s poem will be included in an anthology, “A Celebration of Young Poets.” In addition, she will receive a $50 savings bond and a copy of the anthology. Poems are selected for their literary merit, creativity and social significance.
