Visitors will have the opportunity to discover the many outdoor recreational opportunities that abound in Monmouth County during the park system’s Outdoor Adventure Expo. The event will take place May 18 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Turkey Swamp Park, Georgia Road, Freehold Township.
Area residents are invited to try out kayaks, canoes, paddleboats, and the park system’s 25-foot climbing wall. The expo will feature free lectures, demonstrations, mini-clinics, and nature hikes. Youngsters can compete in a fishing derby.
Members of local outdoor adventure clubs will be on hand to answer questions and give advice as well as representatives from companies that sell outdoor recreation equipment.
