Horse farm ride set to benefit Heifer Internat’l

The Senior Youth Group of the Spotswood Reformed Church will sponsor a Ride-A-Thon to benefit Heifer International at 2 p.m. May 31 at Superior Horse Farm, 113 Old Forge Road, Monroe.

All proceeds from the event will go to Heifer International, a humanitarian assistance organization that works to end world hunger and protect the Earth. By providing livestock and training to disadvantaged communities throughout the world, Heifer has helped more than 8.5 million families in more than 125 countries improve their quality of life and move toward greater self-reliance, according to the Web site, www.heifer.org.

Sponsors and participants are sought for the Ride-A-Thon, which will take place through approximately 10 miles of trails. The cost for the ride has been reduced to $20.
