YMCA to host golf benefit June 3 at Rutgers

The Metuchen Edison Woodbridge YMCAwill host the fourth annual Richard M. Hale YMCA Memorial Golf Classic at Rutgers University in Piscataway on June 3.

The money raised through the golf outing will benefit the Metuchen Edison Woodbridge YMCA Fund for Tomorrow.

The Fund for Tomorrow supports three critical mission objectives:

Programs designed to fight the obesity epidemic in the U.S., including the Seventh Grade Strong Kids Membership, which entitles every seventh-grader in the community to participate in YMCA programs free of charge, and Family Fun Nights at the YMCA, which encourages families to participate in active, healthy play with other YMCA families.

Teen programs that develop youths, including the Model U.N. program.

Local families in crisis who have nowhere else to turn. One of the many examples of support this year includes a young boy who was sent to camp for five weeks while his dad struggled with chemotherapy treatments.

The outing will be held on the Rutgers University Golf Course. Cocktails and dinner will follow at the Busch Faculty Dining Room.

The day of golf, including lunch and dinner, is $199 per person. Many sponsorship opportunities are available.
