Army National Guard Pvt. Daniel A. Jones has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C. A 2006 graduate of Neptune High School, he is the son of Julia and David W. Jones of Long Branch.
Navy Seaman Michael Halpert has completed U.S. Navy basic training at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Ill. A 1996 graduate of Verona High School, he received a Bachelor of Arts degree in 2003 at Montclair State University, Upper Montclair. He is the son of Maxine Gilson of Eatontown.
