The Northern Burlington High School boys soccer team is holding its third annual evening summer soccer camp for children entering grades 3 through 8. The camps will be held at Northern Burlington High School from Monday, July 21, through Thursday, July 24, from 5:30 to 8 p.m. and will be staffed by coaches Scott Cooney and Tim Tedesco, along with team members. The purpose of the camp is to learn basic fundamentals, experience plenty of game competition, make new friends and experience Northern Soccer.
The cost is only $55 per player with a $5 discount for families registering two or more children. After Tuesday, July 1, the cost will be $60 per player. All proceeds benefit the Northern Burlington boys soccer program.

Mansfield Township Recreation is hosting its sixth annual NY Red Bulls Soccer Camp Aug. 4 – 8. The camp is open to all boys and girls from Mansfield, Springfield, Chesterfield, North Hanover, McGuire AFB, and other surrounding towns. The camp will be held at the Mansfield Township Elementary School fields; and will include a 90 minute program for 5 – 6 year olds ($70); and a four hour program from 9 a.m. 1 p.m. for ages 7 and above ($120).
Each child attending the camp will receive a T-shirt, soccer ball, written evaluation and a complimentary ticket to a NY Red Bulls soccer game at Giants Stadium.

On Saturday, Aug. 23, the Republican Club will be holding its annual “Fun Day” at the Juliustown Park, in Juliustown. All Springfield Township residents are invited to attend.
This is not just a Republican affair; all residents are welcome. The day’s activities will include a cookout, music, craft demonstrations, a state police canine unit, bake sale, the mobile post office van and games.

All Senior Citizens of Springfield Township are invited to join the Mansfield Area Senior Citizens. We meet the second and fourth Tuesday of every month except July and August.
We will be meeting at the Jacksonville Community Center in Jacksonville (next to the firehouse) beginning at noon. Bring your own sandwich or light lunch; dessert and beverage will be provided. If interested, please just come or call 609-267-6209 for more information.
Don’t forget to save your General Mills Box Tops for Education box tops, printer ink cartridges and old cell phones. The Springfield Home & School Association collects these items and recycles them as a fundraiser.
A box is located in the office for the box tops and another is in the hall outside the main office for ink cartridges and cell phones. Please help the kids of Springfield Elementary and drop your items off all year long.
