The American Littoral Society (ALS) will resume Family Night at Sandy Hook 6-8 p.m. July 8 at the ALS facility at Sandy Hook. Family Night is held every Tuesday evening through Aug. 19.
The ALS hosts four to five families, and educators and naturalists engage participants in a variety of hands-on field science designed to connect parents and children aged 5-12 to the coastal environment. Children and educators will pull a seine net, identify fish and other marine life, and view the critters through field microscopes.
Cost is $5 per family is $5 for Society members, and $20 for nonmembers. Participants are not required to pay park entrance fees.
