‘Bee’ a Reader! program open to ages 2-5

Edison Public Library began registration in person or by phone July 14 for “Bee” a Reader! The program is open to children ages 2 to 5 years with parent or caregiver. Participants will learn all about New Jersey’s state insects as they “buzz” through stories and other activities, and find out why the bee is one of nature’s most important insects. Registration is limited and open to Edison residents only. Sorry, no siblings permitted in the room during programming.

Programs will be held at the Edison Main Library, 340 Plainfield Ave., on Monday, July 21, at 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. For more information call 732-287- 2351, ext. 3.

The library is also currently holding registration, in person and over the phone, for “Icky Insects and Creepy Crawlers,” a program open to children 5- 8 years. Are you brave enough to hold a wriggling worm in your hand or catch a speedy cockroach? If so, the library dares you to come to this program with creepy, crawly fun. Registration is limited and open to Edison residents only.

The program will take place at the Edison Main Library on Thursday, July 24, at 10:30 a.m. and 2 p.m., at the North Edison Branch on Tuesday, July 22, at 7 p.m., and at the Clara Barton Branch on Tuesday, July 29, at 6:30 p.m.
