Frances Malone, 79, of Columbus, N.C., died July 9, 2008, at the Brain Center in Brevard, N.C. She was employed by Manalapan Township for 13 years and the New Jersey Turnpike before retiring in 1990 and moving to North Carolina. Surviving are two sons, Thomas Vitomski, Columbus, N.C., and Michael Vitomski, Freehold; a daughter, Barbara Van Note of Costa Mesa, Calif.; three brothers, Charles Malone of Florham Park, Raymond Malone of Columbus, N.C., and James Malone of Red Bank; and two grandchildren. Funeral services were held at the Higgins Memorial Home, Freehold, followed by interment at Old Tennent Cemetery, Tennent section of Manalapan.
