Paying respects

SCOTT FRIEDMAN East Brunswick residents John Kohut and Monica Giacobbi, members of American Legion Post 25 in Milltown, look up names on the dog tags at a new monument outside the post in memory of those who died for their country. Called the "Fallen Soldiers Battle Cross," the monument is located near the post's helicopter, and includes a helmet and ID tags, signifying a fallen soldier; an inverted rifle with bayonet, symbolizing a time for prayer; and combat boots, for the final march.
