Mr. Buono, 79, of the Parlin section of Sayreville, died Aug. 1, 2008, at home. Prior to his retirement in 1990, he was employed as an oil-burner technician specialist with Whaeco Oil Co., North Brunswick, where he worked for 35 years. He was predeceased by a son, Anthony Buono III. Surviving are his wife, Violet Popola Buono; a son, John Buono, and his wife, Sue, of Aberdeen; a daughter, Theresa Egry, and her husband, David, of Spotswood; two sisters, Marie Speranzo of Caldwell and Rose Lax of Rome; and a grandson. A Mass was offered at St. Bernadette’s Church, Parlin section of Old Bridge. Interment was in Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick.
