The Veterans Council of Monroe and Jamesburg plans a fall bus trip to Walter Reed Army Medical Center, Washington, D.C., to deliver supplies requested by wounded soldiers at the hospital.
Among the items sought are weightlifting gloves, carry-on luggage, backpacks, breakaway pants (snaps along the leg), and prepaid food cards, gift cards and phone cards.
All items must be new. Monetary contributions are not sought.
Collection boxes have been set up in the Monroe Township Municipal Building, 1 Municipal Plaza, and Jamesburg Borough Hall, 131 Perrineville Road.
