Neve Shalom, 250 Grove Ave., Metuchen will hold a “Friday Night Alive” service Sept. 12 at 6:30 p.m., Kabbalat Shabbat service with instruments and singing and a welcome-back barbecue catered by Mark’s Gourmet Café. Attendees may bring their own wine, and dress in jeans and informal clothes.
