Martha Cromwell Mather

Mrs. Mather, 85, of East Brunswick, died Aug. 27, 2008, at home. A schoolteacher, she also taught Sunday school with the Unitarian Society of East Brunswick for 25 years. Her husband, Dr. Robert Mather, died in 1997, and her twin sister died in 2004. Surviving are a son, Dr. John Mather, and his wife, Jane, of Hyattsville, Md.; a daughter, Janet Mather, and her husband, Ralph Purvis, of Philadelphia; a granddaughter; a great granddaughter; and her caregiver, Sukai Jowjobe. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Oct. 5 at the Unitarian Society, 176 Tices Lane, East Brunswick.
