Mall invites charities to join in fundraiser

Menlo Park Mall, Edison, is inviting local charities and not-for-profit organizations to sign up to participate in Simon Evening of Giving, an annual private shopping and entertainment event that raises funds for local, regional and national charities.

On Nov. 23 from 7 to 10 p.m., Menlo Park Mall will be reserved exclusively for the use of shoppers who’ve purchased $10 Simon Evening of Giving tickets from participating charities. The event will feature exclusive store discounts throughout the mall, family entertainment, food sampling and more.

All of the proceeds will benefit not-forprofit organizations; $7 from each ticket will directly benefit the charity selling the ticket and the remainder will go to the Simon Youth Foundation, a not-for-profit organization that fosters educational and career development for at-risk youth.

The Simon Youth Foundation was established in 1998 by Simon Property Group, owner of Menlo Park Mall. The 2007 Evening of Giving event at the mall raised $55,000 for 60 charities in New Jersey.

A select number of participating charities that assist in ticket sales may have the opportunity to display information about their respective organizations to shoppers during the evening.

To participate in Simon Evening of Giving or to receive more information about the event, contact Christine Hahn at Menlo Park Mall at 732-549-1900, ext. 12, or via email at [email protected].
