The JFK Johnson Rehabilitation Institute (JRI) will host a community health fair at the Menlo Park Mall from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Oct. 13
The health fair will provide an opportunity to talk with rehabilitation experts and professionals; hear about the latest rehabilitation programs; obtain information on preventative health care measures; and learn about devices for specific rehabilitation needs and various devices in JRI’s specialty clinics.
Programs and screenings will feature exhibitors focusing on more interactive booths and will include:
Blood pressure, height, weight, video exam of the ear, bionic hand demonstration, voice screening, memory screening, virtual rehabilitation using Wii, massage, reiki, body fat analysis, career exploration, postural screening for backpack safety, low vision screenings, breast health, and information about the following programs: brain trauma unit, extended recovery unit, inpatient rehabilitation, day rehabilitation, cognitive rehabilitation, speech and audiology, prosthetics and orthotics, rehabilitation medicine, pediatric rehabilitation, cardiac rehabilitation, health and fitness center, professional development, the breast center, JFK Hartwyck rehabilitation, long-term care facilities, and the diabetes center.
