Mr. Gizzi, 75, a resident of Sayreville for 35 years, died Sept. 29, 2008, at Summer Hill Nursing Home in Old Bridge. A U.S. Army veteran, hew was a component tester for Western Electric, AT&T and Lucent Technologies before his retirement. Mr. Gizzi was predeceased by his brother Mario and sister Ida Fuston. Surviving are his wife of 52 years, the former Barbara Martin; three daughters, Donna Santiago of Sayreville, Diane Landante and her husband, Ernie, of East Brunswick, Karen Foster and her husband, Keith, of Howell; three sisters, Sylvia Grompone, Anne Bender and Gemma Marchlinski; three brothers, Jerry, Louis and Joseph Gizzi; and six grandchildren. Funeral services were held at the Carmen F. Spezzi Funeral Home, Parlin, with entombment following at Holy Cross Burial Park in South Brunswick. Memorial donations may be made to the St. Peter’s Oncology and Radiation Unit.
