The Villagers Theatre announces auditions Oct. 12 and 13 starting at 6 p.m. for its upcoming Kidsville production of “Babes in Toyland.” Auditions will take place at Villagers Theatre in the Black Box, located in the Franklin Township Municipal Complex at 415 Demott Lane, Somerset.
Children ages 7-10 will be seen 6-7 p.m. only on both audition dates and should be prepared to sing a Christmas carol of their choice and do a simple dance.
Ages 11 and over will be seen from 7-9 p.m., no appointment necessary for anyone.
Bring a résumé and a head shot. If auditioning for a singing part, prepare a Christmas Carol that shows your range, if you wish to sing with music, bring a CD.
If you are auditioning for a dancing part only, you are not required to sing. Dress appropriately for dancing. Everyone will be reading sides from the script.
Performances are scheduled for Dec. 12, 13, 20 and 21, show times are noon and 3 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. This production is produced, directed and choreographed by Tina Lee
