Dowdell Library has programs for all

The Dowdell Library of South Amboy (adjacent to the high school) will offer the following events:

• Oct. 17, 24, story and craft for ages 5 and over at 3:30 p.m.

• Oct. 20, Monday Night at the Movies, featuring “Monster House” at 6 p.m. Light refreshments will be served.

• Oct. 23, Halloween costume party at 6:30 p.m. There will be a costume contest, spooky music, a pumpkin patch hunt, make your own mummy game, and ghostly snacks. You must come dressed in a costume.

• Oct. 27, Halloween Spooktacular at 6:45 p.m. with magician Mark Zacharia.

• Oct. 31, trick-or-treat and enter a raffle to win a Goosebumps DVD.

Special programs for teens and adults:

• Oct. 21, knitting circle at 6:30 p.m. Learn a new hobby from instructor Sarita, while conversing.

• Oct. 30, Open Mic Night. Join library at 6:30 p.m. to show off your talents, especially acoustic music.
