Mr. Krauss, 75, of Spotswood, died Oct. 4, 2008, at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. Prior to retiring in 2005, he worked for the Spotswood Board of Education as the operations foreman. He was also a volunteer firefighter in South Amboy. He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Marjorie Krauss; three sons, George Krauss and his wife, Heather, Corning, N.Y., Erick Krauss and his wife, Donna, Brick, and Russell Krauss, Jamestown, N.C.; a stepson, Phillip Orten, Loris, S.C.; a stepdaughter, Susan Henry, and her husband Joseph, Old Bridge; nine grandchildren; and one greatgrandchild.
