Learn how to bead at Intertribal meeting

Visitors big and small will be learning how to bead at the next Intertribal American Indians of New Jersey meeting 2 p.m. Oct. 18 in the lodge at Thompson Park in Jamesburg. Brenda Davis, president of the organization, will offer a lecture on the importance of beadwork in native America cultures. She will also be demonstrating various stitches such as peyote stitch, square stitch and loom work.

Intertribal Indians of New Jersey is a nonprofit organization that provides social activities and support to American Indians living in New Jersey. Members come from tribes through out the country.

All are welcome. Admission is free and no RVSP is required.
