Flu shots/pneumonia vaccine given Nov. 7

The Middlesex County Health Department will be administering the flu vaccine at the Sayreville Senior Center, 423 Main St., Sayreville, from 10 a.m. to noon Nov. 7. The vaccine will be offered to Middlesex County residents only who are age 18 years and older. Vaccines will be provided free of charge, however Medicare will be billed where applicable; residents are advised to bring their Medicare Cards with them. Proof of age is required along with proof of county residence.

The pneumonia vaccine will be offered by appointment only to residents age 65 and over who have not received the vaccine since turning 65. Residents can call 732-745-3100 between 2 and 4 p.m. Monday through Friday to schedule an appointment for the pneumonia vaccine.
