Alfred G. “Whitey” Cranmer

Mr. Cranmer, 91, a resident of Freehold for more than 60 years, died Oct. 26, 2008, at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and participated in the Battle of Bulge. His wife, Jennie Mae Cranmer, died in 1988. Surviving are three sons and daughters-in-law, David G. and Ann Cranmer of Old Bridge, William “Larry” and Jill Cranmer of Laurel, Del., and Keith H. “Whitey” and Mary Cranmer of Morehead City, N.C.; two daughters and sons-in-law, Victoria C. and Ray Lurch of Carlisle, Pa, and Gail H. and Bob Trojan of Freehold; a brother, Lawrence Cranmer of Millville; two sisters, Eleanor Evergetis of South Carolina and Judy Fithian of Virginia; 15 grandchildren, and 19 great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held at Higgins Memorial Home, Freehold.
