The Terra Nova Garden Club of North Edison will host a bus trip to Longwood Gardens in Kennett Square, Pa., a horticultural showplace purchased by Pierre S. DuPont in 1906.
The bus will leave the Pearl Street Parking Lot in Metuchen (off Route 27 and New Street) on Saturday, Nov. 29, at 10 a.m. and return at approximately 8:30 p.m.
Longwood Gardens encompasses 1,050 acres of gardens, woodlands and meadows, with over 11,000 types of plants, more fountains than any other garden in the U.S., educational and visitor programming, and over 400 performances a year.
The cost for the guided tour is $50. Checks should be made payable to Terra Nova Garden Club and mailed to Ms. T. Ward, 19 Outcalt Road, Edison, NJ 08817.
