The Philomusica Choir will celebrate the season with “Christmas Through the Ages” an a-cappella concert set for 8 p.m. on Dec. 6 and 4 p.m. Dec. 7 at Our Lady of Peace Church, Route 130 north at Washington Place, North Brunswick.
The 40-voice auditioned community choir, under the direction of Dennis Boyle, will offer a program tracing the Christmas story in works by Hassler, de Victoria, di Lasso, Poulenc and Pärt. The concert will span 500 years of varied rhythms, themes and styles.
