Edison library programs announced

Edison Township Public Libraries announced the following programs:

• There will be a program for children ages 2-5 years with their parent or caregiver. Children are invited to bring their favorite teddies and learn about bears and their wintertime naps. Children will sing, dance and get ready for hibernation. For the Dec. 11 program at 10:30 a.m. or 1:30 p.m., call the Edison Main Library, 340 Plainfield Ave., at 732-287-2351. For the Dec. 17 program at 10:30 a.m. at the Clara Barton Library, 141 Hoover Ave., call 732-738 0748.

•The library will host three programs to teach children about telephone etiquette. Children will become familiar with numbers and good behavior when an adult is on the phone. For the Clara Barton Branch, classes will be held at 1 p.m. Dec. 29; to register, call 732-738-0748. The North Edison Branch Library will present this program at 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m.; to register, call 732-548-4749.

• The Edison Main Library, 340 Plainfield Ave., will present Family Time Night at 6:30 p.m. Dec. 17. This will be an imaginary journey of flight as the 105th anniversary of the Wright brothers’ aviation accomplishments in Kitty Hawk, N.C. is celebrated. Registration is under way; call 732-287-2351.
