Dec. 18, ongoing

• Adopt-A-Family, sponsored by the South River Elementary/Primary School PTA, to make the holiday season more enjoyable for disadvantaged children in South River. • Holiday Boutique, 10 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, 10 a.m.-9 p.m. Wednesdays, noon-5 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays, at the Jane Voorhees Zimmerli Art Museum, 71 Hamilton St., corner of George and Hamilton streets, New Brunswick. Gifts inspired by art and design. • Holiday Tree and Wreath Sale, sponsored by the South River Elks, noon-9 p.m., daily, at the Elks lodge, 205 Main St. Trees supplied by “Uncle Ron,” formerly of Route 18, East Brunswick. Proceeds from the sale go to charity. Call Jeff Gostowski at 732-254- 9820.

Dec. 18 & 19

• Holiday Food Drive, sponsored by the East Brunswick Chamber of Commerce. Donations of kosher and nonkosher food items are sought to benefit needy families in the East Brunswick area. The Society of St. Vincent dePaul, Jewish Family Services of Southern Middlesex County and the South River Council of Congregations will distribute donations. Businesses throughout East Brunswick and South River have been designated as donation drop-off centers. For a list of drop-off sites, call 732-257-3009.

• Coat Drive, sponsored by Dr. Debra De- Marco of Monroe Chiropractic Care, Jamesburg. Clean, new or gently used coats will go to Jersey Cares, a nonprofit group that aids needy families in New Jersey. Drop-off locations: Monroe Chiropractic Care, 15 E. Railroad Ave., Jamesburg; the Jamesburg Municipal Building, Perrineville Road; New Jersey Food Bank, Hillside. Volunteers needed. 908-507-6464.

• Food Drive, sponsored by First Rehab, 404 Main St., Suite A, Spotswood. Donated nonperishable food will benefit families in Spotswood, Jamesburg, Monroe, Milltown, East Brunswick, Helmetta. Contributions may be dropped off 9 a.m.-8 p.m. Dec. 18, 8 a.m.-4 p.m. Dec. 19.

Dec. 18-23

• Food Drive, to benefit the Community Food Bank of New Jersey, at Vogue Hair and Nail Studios, Ticetown Square Mall, intersection of Route 9 and Ticetown Road, Old Bridge. Public encouraged to bring at least one can of nonperishable goods to the salon or donate $1 to the cause. All donors entered into a free raffle to win a gift basket containing products valued at more than $200. All monetary proceeds and food donations go to the Community Food Bank of New Jersey. 732-679-2822.

• Breakfast With Santa, sponsored

by the South River Elementary School PTA, 10-11:30 a.m., in the cafetorium at South River Middle School, 3 Montgomery St. Youngsters up to age 10 are welcome; children must be accompanied by an adult.
