Mr. Neuhauser, 90, of East Brunswick, died Dec. 21, 2008, at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. He had resided in Merrick, N.Y., before moving to East Brunswick in 1987. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and participated in the D-Day invasion. Mr. Neuhauser was a journalist for more than 40 years at The New York Times and edited several books. He was predeceased by his wife, Roslyn Blinder Neuhauser, in 1980. Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Claudia and Bob Scherzer of East Brunswick; two sons and daughters-in-law, Ken and Pat of Turners Station, Ky., and Mitch and Elyce of Woodbury, N.Y.; eight grandchildren; a great-grandson; and a sister, Judith Lowell of Potsdam, N.Y. Funeral services were held at Mount Sinai Memorial Chapels, East Brunswick, followed by interment at Beth Moses Cemetery, Farmingdale, N.Y.
