Mrs. Swanson, 79, of The Chelsea at Manalapan, died Jan. 3, 2009, at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Born in the Bronx, N.Y., she graduated from the School of Industrial Art in Manhattan and resided in New York City before moving to New Jersey several years ago. She and her husband, Karl, who died in May 2008, owned an architectural rendering business. Surviving are a daughter and son-inlaw, Denise and Anthony Leone of Marlboro; and a grandson. A funeral service was held at the Temple of Israel Chapel at the Woodbridge Memorial Gardens, Woodbridge. Arrangements were under the direction of the Freeman Funeral Home, Manalapan.
