Substitute nurse program to be offered

The Office of School Relations at Ocean County College is offering a seven-hour training seminar for licensed New Jersey registered nurses who are interested in becoming substitute school nurses. A one-day Substitute School Nurse Training Institute will be held from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. March 7 at the college in Toms River.

To qualify to become a substitute school nurse, a candidate must be a New Jersey licensed registered nurse, provide a copy of his or her current valid R.N. license, must have at least 60 college credits, provide an official transcript in a sealed envelope, successfully undergo a criminal background check and provide proof of a negative Mantoux test.
