The Monroe Township Mother’s Club and the Monroe Township Recreation Department will hold their annual Egg Hunt and Bonnet/Top Hat Contest beginning at noon on April 11 at Dey Farm, Old Church Road, Monroe. The events are open to Monroe residents only. In case of rain, location will be the Monroe Township Community Center, 120 Monmouth Road.
Youngsters should bring a basket or bag to collect goodies.
Participants will be divided into the following age divisions: up to 4 years; kindergarten second grade; third grade and up. Parents will be allowed in the up-to-age-4 division only.
First- and second-place prize baskets will be awarded in each division for funniest hat, most original hat and best-looking hat. There will be one grand prize basket for best overall hat.
Guests are asked to bring a nonperishable food item to benefit the Monroe Township Food Bank.
