The Jewish Federation of Middlesex County, in cooperation with area synagogues, invites the community to a Yom HaShoah commemoration set for 7:30 p.m. April 21 at the East Brunswick Jewish Center, Kroll Ballroom, 511 Ryders Lane. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. for a free exhibit.
The event will feature a program titled “Jewish Communities in the Shoah: Bridging the Ashkenazi, Sephardi and Mizrachi Experiences.” Guest speaker will be Rabbi Mitchell Serels, author and scholar of Sephardic culture and the Holocaust. There will be a memorial candle-lighting procession with Cantor David Amar.
