Vivian Chimento

Mrs. Chimento, 94, of Long Branch, died March 30, 2009, at home, following a lengthy illness. Born in Naples, Italy, she arrived at Ellis Island in 1922. She and her late husband owned and operated the Shore Hills Motel, Sea Bright Bathing Pavilion, and Sands Beach Club, retiring in 1987. Mrs. Chimento was predeceased by her husband, John, in 1987. She is survived by two sons and one daughter-in-law, John A. and Gail of Little Silver, and Anthony of Miami, Fla.; two daughters and sons-in-law, Sharon and Jay Archbold of Freehold, and Patricia and Richard Arminio of Little Silver; a brother, Salvatore Lombardi of Florham Park; two sisters, Christine Santorelli of Monmouth Beach and Della Bruno of Brick; and six grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at Church of the Precious Blood, Monmouth Beach. Interment was at Woodbine Cemetery Mausoleum, Oceanport.
