WEST WINDSOR (April 19, 2009) — The Central Jersey Wind Ensemble, lead by Nick Santoro, will perform concert band favorites. The band boasts a membership of over 40 amateur and professional musicians.
The event, part of the Prince of Peace Concert Series, will be held May 2 at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 177 Route 571, Princeton Junction, beginning at 7:30 p.m.
The concert is free and open to the public.
The program is part of a new concert series featuring the talents of musicians from central New Jersey. According to series organizer Scott Hawkinson, the series has collected thousands of dollars for several local organizations including Habitat for Humanity, United Way of Greater Mercer County, and a local chapter of the Taipei National University of the Arts Alumni Association.
There is no admission charge, although the audience will have the opportunity to make donations benefiting HiTops at the concert, he said. HiTops provides health, counseling, and other services to local teens.
