The Preschool Education Program is an elective for EBHS juniors and seniors who may be interested in a career in education. Students learn, plan, teach and observe children, ages 3-5 years. Prior to the arrival of the preschoolers in mid-October, study is devoted to child development, guidance techniques, teaching methods, observational techniques, scheduling and routines needed to work with the preschool-age child. Students, who then apply their new skills to conduct and supervise a preschool, will continue to learn, plan and develop with the opportunity to practice their skills in storytelling, creative movement, art, music and theme teaching.
