Local groups and residents are invited to take part in the seventh annual cleanup around Farrington Lake set for May 2. Registration will take place at 8:30 a.m. in Bicentennial Park, Riva Avenue and Hardenburg Lane, East Brunswick. Rain date is May 9.
The event is sponsored by the Federation of Sportsmen; the Lawrence Brook Watershed Partnership; New Jersey Water Watch; students of the Judd School, North Brunswick; and the communities of East Brunswick, North Brunswick, New Brunswick and Milltown.
Volunteers, who are encouraged to carry water, should dress with arms and legs covered and wear suitable boots or shoes. Some refreshments will be provided.
