Mrs. O’Connell, 97, of Manchester Center, Vt., and formerly Red Bank and Oceanport, died April 24, 2009, at home. She was a retired secretary at Bell Telephone. She was predeceased by her husband of 54 years, Daniel Joseph O’Connell. She is survived by a sister, Ellen Mac Lusky; three daughters, Dorothy Spydell of Denver, Patricia Svege of Sequim, Wash., and Nancy Faxon of Manchester Center, Vt.; and nine grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Dorothea’s Roman Catholic Church, Eatontown. Arrangements were by Braun Funeral Home, Eatontown.
