The New Jersey Chapter of the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation of America (CCFA-NJ) will hold its eighth annual Golf Classic on June 18 at the Cedar Hill Golf & Country Club, 100 Walnut St., Livingston. This is a rescheduled date. The event could not take place on May 7, the original date, due to weather conditions. Registration and buffet brunch will begin at 1l a.m. A 5 p.m. cocktail reception and then dinner, awards and a silent auction will follow the 12:30 p.m. shotgun start. Space is available. The South Brunswick Athletic Association (SBAA) is sponsoring its first annual Coaches Baseball Game May 30 at 6:30 p.m. in Rowland Park. Softball and baseball coaches from all township leagues are stepping onto the field to demonstrate their athletic prowess during an evening of fun, food, prizes and games. Proceeds support SBAA recreation and travel baseball and softball programs in the township. The night will feature music, barbecue, food, games, prizes and more. The Fred Hill Scarlet Knights Basketball Camps will feature two individual sessions and three high school team camps this summer. All of the camp instruction will take place on the Scarlet Knights home hardwood at Rutgers University’s Louis Brown Athletic Center (The RAC) under the supervision of their staff. The Scarlet Knights individual skills camp for boys entering grades 6 through 12 will take place from June 29 to July 2. The camp, which features both overnight and day-only options, is designed to elevate game performance and enhance the knowledge of team concepts. All skills will be covered, from shooting form to ball handling to excelling in game situations. The cost for the camp is $395 per player, $275 day only. The fee includes housing, meals, a training manual and a reversible camp jersey. The Scarlet Knights Day Camp for boys entering grades 2 through 7 will take place from July 13 to July 16. The camp will stress fundamentals and include drills, lectures, motivation, games and individual instruction. The cost for the camp is $225 per player. The fee includes a reversible jersey, camp basketball and a self-improvement workout guide. The 2009 team camp offers two overnight sessions, June 26-28 and July 10-12, in addition to the first annual Scarlet Shootout, a team camp tournament to be held June 13-14.
