Church carnival slated for June 16-20

The Immaculate Conception Church Carnival is planned for 5-11 p.m. June 16-19 and 4-11 p.m. June 20 on the church grounds, 23 Manalapan Road, Spotswood.

The event will feature rides and games of chance for all ages; a beer garden; a food pavilion with specials (June 17, pulled pork; June 18, barbecued ribs; June 19, fish fry); carnival treats including zeppole, ice cream, funnel cakes and fried Oreos; live nightly entertainment featuring local bands and dance performances; and radio stations New Jersey 101.5-FM and WPLJ 95.5-FM providing music, trivia and games. The winner of the Big-Bucks Raffle ($100 per ticket, only 3,000 sold) will be drawn June 19; winner need not be present.

Live entertainment will include appearances by Route 9 South, Ridgemont High, Thundercreek Bluegrass Band and Academy of Music Kids Rock Bands.

Bracelet Nights are set for 6-10 p.m. June 16 and 18 — pay one price and ride all night. Mega wristbands will be offered — pay one price and ride all week; tickets will be sold after Sunday Masses at Immaculate Conception Church prior to carnival week.

Youth Sports Night is planned for June 17 — youngsters wearing their team uniform shirt will receive a free hot dog. Alumni Night is June 19 — all Immaculate Conception graduates are invited to reunite with friends and receive a complimentary carnival mug and beer/soda.
