The Monmouth County Park System will offer free seining 11 a.m. to noon Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays through Aug. 21 at Bayshore Waterfront Park, Port Monmouth Road, Port Monmouth section of Middletown (weather permitting).
The program is designed for families, not groups, and children must be age 5 or older and accompanied by an adult. Participants may help draw the seine net, see what species swim in the bay, and record data and observations. Shoes with closed toes are a must, and the program is not a swimming event.
