• Bedtime Bags Drive, sponsored by the Junior Woman’s Club of the Greater Brunswick Area. Seeking donations of new children’s books, pajamas, stuffed animals and small blankets to be used in creating Bedtime Bags that will be donated to Foster and Adoptive Family Services. Bedtime Bags encourage foster parents to read bedtime stories with their foster children, helping to bond foster families together and boost children’s literacy skills. • Car Wash and Clothing Drive, sponsored by the Old Bridge High School Marching Band, 9 a.m.-1 p.m., in the Carl Sandburg Middle School parking lot near Lombardi Field, Route 516 and Ticetown Road, Old Bridge. • Rummage Sale, sponsored by Anshe Emeth Memorial Temple, 9 a.m.-2 p.m. July 26 and Aug. 2, 5-8 p.m. July 28 and Aug. 3, at the temple, 222 Livingston Ave., New Brunswick. Bargains on clothing, furniture, jewelry, housewares, toys, linens, more. 732-545-6484.

• Monroe Township Hoops Golf Outing, to benefit the Ryan Walp-D.J. Blish-Joe Kunigonis Scholarship Fund, registration begins at noon, shotgun start at 1 p.m., at Concordia Golf Course, Monroe. All proceeds go to Monroe Township High School graduates who were part of the travel basketball program and gave back to the program and the basketball community.
