Entries due Aug. 7 for India contest

The 4-H Indian Langoor Club is inviting area youths ages 5-19 to take part in a competition themed “India, What It Means to Me.” Entry deadline is Aug. 7, and entries must be submitted to the North Brunswick Public Library, 880 Hermann Road.

Students may submit a drawing, painting, collage or any other medium on a paper measuring 11 inches by 17 inches. Essays 250 words in length or poems may be submitted on 8 ½- by-11-inch papger, 12-point font and double-spaced. Winners will be announced at a celebration of India’s Independence Day at 10 a.m. Aug. 15 at Linwood Middle School, 25 Linwood Place, North Brunswick. Three prizes will be awarded for each category, and entrants must be present at the celebration. For more information, call 732-289-3619.
