Denise Daniele Dance Studios, Brick, was recently the site of a weeklong workshop titled FOCUS Dance Intensive. Those who participated in the workshop took master classes from New York and Los Angeles based choreographers. Also on hand was studio owner Denise Daniele Blackstone, who is a tap master teacher, and Al Blackstone, a former Brick resident who is now a New York City based choreographer and has recently been cast in the “Wicked” national tour. Rounding out the faculty was Katie Spreadbury, faculty member, JUMP Dance Conventions, Gina Forcella, ballet master, Jamie Salmon, Broadway Dance Center and Dana Shenloogian, Denise Daniele instructor. The workshop was open to all dancers in Monmouth and Ocean counties.

The Brick Township Chamber of Commerce will host a Business After Hours networking opportunity 5-7 p.m. Aug. 27 at the Eagle Ridge Golf Club, 2 Augusta Blvd., Lakewood. Guests (golfers and non-golfers alike) will have an opportunity to enter a putting contest and will be eligible to win prizes. All guests will also be entered into a drawing for door prizes. There will be a shared resource table for chamber members’ promotional materials, and all guests will be entered into a drawing for prizes. The N.J. Association of Women Business Owners (NJAWBO) will hold its All NJAWBO Presidents’ Day at the Races 11:30 a.m.-4:40 p.m. Aug. 27 at Monmouth Park Racetrack, Oceanport (rain or shine).
